Like!

My favorite project is probably the part of the course where I make something by myself. I think about what I want to make based on the knowledge I have learned, and then put it into action and use some materials to make it myself. I think this is very interesting, and it can also bring me closer to the members of the same group!

By the way, I think our time arrangement is very good and scientific! Chinese children always sit there all day long after studying, without going out to play or do activities. Usually some of the summer camps we go to are just for fun and do not let us learn any knowledge. But our summer camp this time has a balance between playing and learning, and also adds club activities, so that it is neither playing all the time nor learning all the time, focusing on all-round development.

I met a lot of friends! Iris, Grace, and Polina are in the same dormitory as me, and Jenny, Telen, and Jakeson are in the same family as me, etc. Among them are friends from China, friends from the United States, and friends from Russia. Although we all come from different countries and have different national cultures, this does not prevent us from becoming friends. Everyone has their own personality and characteristics, but everyone is friendly! Course activities and some games allowed us to get to know each other, understand each other, and become each other’s friends. In addition, we got to know each other day and night. Although the time was short, this friendship was beautiful, pure, and true after all! I thought it would be difficult to make friends in just two weeks, but I didn’t expect that we would become so close to each other in the end. When we parted, everyone was inseparable. We cried a lot, hugged each other, and didn’t want to leave for a long time. (ps: Now I have added WeChat to some friends and can still keep in touch)

Climate change must be taken seriously!

Climate change will cause changes in our living environment, which is fatal to us humans.I will pay attention to knowledge related to climate change and continue to learn about sustainable development, because it is closely related to the survival of humans and the earth.

I think Russian girls are very interesting, they are lively, always very energetic and good at dancing.

My English has improved.

English in school is written English. We just keep reciting, doing questions, and writing articles. No one allows us to use it in our daily lives. But during our camp, a large part of the time I would hear others speaking English, or I would need to speak English myself, which created a good language environment for me. Although my English is not good, the excellent counselors in the camp sometimes help us translate, which makes it easier to understand in one go.

I think the food and accommodation at the camp are good. The rooms are not too crowded and the food is relatively healthy. When we play games, we go to the lawn. The lawn brings us closer to nature, but sometimes there are a lot of bugs.

I really enjoyed this summer camp.

The format of this summer camp is something I have never seen before, and the theme is unexpectedly novel – sustainable development is really suitable as a theme for a summer camp.

This camp moved me like never before.

As campers, we come from all over the world. Maybe this is just a one-time relationship, and we will eventually be separated from each other, but everyone is so sincere and so warm. I still maintain intermittent contact with several friends who were in the same group. Every time I read messages from them, I always think back to those summers we walked together, those fatigues, those laughters, and those things we accomplished together. Handcrafted and presentations.

I am very happy that we are divided into four families. It really made me feel like we all belong to the same family, the same collective, no matter where we come from, and to unite and put trust in other people’s hands.

I have never had a deep understanding of global warming and sustainable development. In the process of preparing materials for the presentation, I gradually realized that these are not far away from us. I may not major in environmental science in the future, but I will probably insist on doing things like “turn off the lights when you leave the room, and I will save electricity for the country.” 【laugh】

It feels really good to be able to speak English with foreigners at the summer camp. Maybe I’m still a little nervous when facing them, and I can’t even speak grammatically clearly, but I’m still very excited. Different cultural backgrounds really shape different personalities and attitudes. There is a lot worth learning from them, such as their decisiveness and optimism when facing problems, and their cheerfulness.

The experience of these fourteen days forced me to admit that my spoken English is really not very good, but it has indeed improved my English level. The language environment is really important for language learning. [I feel like my hearing has made a qualitative leap]

The facilities in the campground are really very good [emphasis added]

Suggestion… if the preparation time for the presentation can be slightly reduced, everyone’s work efficiency may be higher.

Now, this is probably what I want to express. I am so lucky to meet such lovely people on such a clear and transparent summer day. I will always remember this time that was as bright as glass crafts.

Summer camp is really helpful for English! It provides you with a good foreign language environment and encourages you to speak English loudly and comfortably without being restrained, which is something that ordinary domestic schools cannot do. Friends from various countries have different cultural imprints on their bodies, such as Russians. By establishing friendship with Chinese children, they can appreciate the fascinating exotic customs and cultural collision and integration that are difficult to reach at home. (The most interesting thing is tongue flicking in Russian) I met several like-minded friends at the summer camp. Although they come from all over the world, we still keep in touch. The interesting and long-lasting friendship is the most memorable gain I got at the summer camp. .

For me, this summer camp journey should be a very important and important experience in my life.

During this period, I learned a lot of knowledge about environmental protection and climate warming, and also exercised a lot of abilities, including speaking English and speaking skills. These have provided me a lot of help in my current college life, so that I will not be afraid of presentations in class, nor will I be intimidated by speeches in English class. It’s like this summer camp provided a bridge for me to study from high school to college, allowing me to better adapt to college life.

In fact, what gained me the most was probably the friends in the summer camp. We are of different ages, live in different regions, and even have different nationalities, but our cooperation in learning and the joy of playing are deeply imprinted in my mind and have become the most beautiful and profound part of this journey for me. To this day, we still share information in our circle of friends and communicate about our recent study and life in WeChat groups. Although we are far apart, our hearts still care about each other.

There are also many impressive parts, such as sumptuous meals every day, sweet afternoon tea, interesting brain-burning games in the evening, and working overtime for the final plan. These memories, whether hard or happy, make this journey rich. And wonderful, I think I will always remember it.
